<p>The 2024 OECD Survey on Public Service Leadership and Capability provides practitioners, academics and civil society with an overview of central and federal administrations’ practices across OECD member countries.

<h4>About this questionnaire</h4>
<p>The content of the 2024 database was collected using an online <a href="https://webfs.oecd.org/governmentataglance/Public%20employment%20and%20management/2024%20OECD%20Public%20Service%20Leadership%20and%20Capability%20Survey%20(Modules%206%20and%207).pdf" target="_blank">questionnaire</a> and a <a href="https://webfs.oecd.org/governmentataglance/Public%20employment%20and%20management/2024%20OECD%20Public%20Service%20Leadership%20and%20Capability,%20Glossary.pdf" target="_blank">glossary</a> was also provided.

<p>The 2024 dataset provides information on the following topics:</p>
<p><ul>
<li> Module 6 – HRM institutions</li>
<li> Module 7 – Performance management</li>
</ul></p>
<p> The 2024 database comprises responses from 35 OECD countries<sup>1</sup> and the data refers only to central/federal government practices as of 1 January 2024. Respondents were predominantly officials from central human resource management administrations. The content of the database draws heavily upon self-reporting from governments representing the country’s own assessment of current practices and procedures. </p>
