<p> The 2024 OECD Survey on Public Procurement tracks the implementation of the 2015 OECD Recommendation on Public Procurement across OECD and Partner countries to observe general trends and the progress made. </p> <h4>About this questionnaire</h4> <p>The content of the 2024 database was collected using an online <a href="https://webfs.oecd.org/governmentataglance/Public%20procurement/2024%20OECD%20Survey%20on%20Public%20Procurement.pdf" target="_blank">questionnaire</a> and a <a href="https://webfs.oecd.org/governmentataglance/Public%20procurement/2024%20OECD%20Survey%20on%20Public%20Procurement%20Glossary.pdf" target="_blank">glossary</a> was also provided to guide respondents. </p> <p>The 2024 dataset provides information on the 12 principles of the Recommendation on Public Procurement: </p> <p><ul> <li>Principle 1: Transparency</li> <li>Principle 2: Integrity</li> <li>Principle 3: Access</li> <li>Principle 4: Balance</li> <li>Principle 5: Participation</li> <li>Principle 6: Efficiency</li> <li>Principle 7: E-procurement</li> <li>Principle 8: Capacity</li> <li>Principle 9: Evaluation</li> <li>Principle 10: Risk management</li> <li>Principle 11: Accountability</li> <li>Principle 12: Integration</li> </ul></p> <p> The 2024 database comprises responses from 35 OECD countries<sup>1</sup> and 5 Partner countries and the data refers only to central/federal government practices as of 2024. Survey respondents were country delegates responsible for procurement policies at the central government level and senior officials in central purchasing bodies. The content of the database draws heavily upon self-reporting from governments representing the country’s own assessment of current practices and procedures. </p> <p> Results of the survey were published in the 2024 Report on Implementing the OECD Recommendation on Public Procurement in OECD and Partner Countries</a>. </p>
