The Gender Institutions and Development Database (GID-DB) provides policy makers, researchers and the public in general with key data on gender-based discrimination in social institutions. Data help analyse women's empowerment and understand gender gaps in key areas of development. <br/><br/> The GID-DB is produced on a regular basis, alongside the Social Institutions and Gender Index.
