Premiums, claims and expenses of insurance companies

This dataset shows some of the main variables of the technical operations of insurance companies. It includes the amount of gross premiums written by insurance companies, the amount of reinsurance accepted, premiums ceded and net premiums written. This dataset also provides the amount of gross claims payments, gross operating expenses and commissions of insurers. This information is available by ownership (domestic undertakings, foreign-controlled undertakings and branches and agencies), insurance type (life, non-life, composite) and insurance business (direct business, reinsurance accepted). It also provides a breakdown between a single and regular premium payments, and coverage provided for domestic risks and risks situated outside the reporting jurisdiction.
