<p>This data table shows assumptions on the total fertility rate averaged over 5-year periods underlying the regional population projections for EUROPOP2025 (NUTS3 regions). Figures published under year (t) refer to the average over years (t) - (t+4), i.e. data published under 2025 refer to the average 2025-2029.&nbsp;Regional projections for EUROPOP2025 were produced by the Joint Research Center with support of Eurostat, and are benchmarked to the national projection results of EUROPOP2025.</p>
