Global value chain participation - EU country perspective (FIGARO application)

<p>Global value chain participation is defined as the sum of backward and forward participation. The backward participation, under the EU country perspective, is calculated as a share of foreign (other EU and non-EU countries) value added in the EU country's exports. The forward participation, under the EU country perspective, is calculated as a share of value added generated in the EU country by other (EU and non-EU) economies’ exports. These three indicators are measured in percentage of total exports.</p>
