Persons by level of the formal education or training abandoned and educational attainment level (2024)

<p>The indicator measures the level of formal education or training abandoned. The denominator comprises people aged 15-34 who have abandoned formal education or training at least once. The level of the formal education or training activity is defined in accordance with the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED 2011). This level refers to the programme that the student or apprentice started but did not complete successfully. If a person has abandoned multiple formal education programmes, the level refers to the highest level of the programme abandoned.&nbsp;</p><p>The information is broken down by sex, age and educational attainment level.&nbsp;</p><p>The indicator is based on the EU Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS) 8-yearly variables on "Young people on the labour market" surveyed in 2024.</p>
