Proportion of women subjected to sexual violence by persons other than an intimate partner in the last 12 months (modeled estimate, % of women ages 65+)

Proportion of women ages 65+ who experienced one or more acts of sexual violence by a non-partner (that is, someone other than a current or former husband or male intimate partner) in the last 12 months, calculated as the share of women reporting such experience among all women in the same age group (all women at risk). Sexual violence includes being forced, coerced, threatened, or intimidated to perform any unwanted sexual act. This may include rape, attempted rape, unwanted sexual touching, or non-contact forms of sexual violence.
