The Marriage topic legal frameworks score measures laws related to marriage and divorce because equal rights in marriage and divorce are critical to a woman’s agency, financial security, and health. It is divided into four indicators. It is calculated as the unweighted average of the indicator scores in the topic and rescaled to a 0–100 scale, where 0 represents the lowest possible score and 100 the highest possible score.
