Pre-Primary Gross Enrolment Rate (GER): The number of pupils enrolled in pre-primary school, regardless of age, expressed as a percentage of the population in the theoretical age group in pre-primary school. The purpose of this indicator is to measure the general level of participation of children in Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs. Country-specific definition, method and targets are determined by countries themselves.
