Total Private Philanthropy for Development

<p style="text-align: justify;">This dataset provides project-level information for over 500 of the largest private philanthropic foundations working for development at the global level. It combines (i) primary data on more than 40 of the largest cross-border philanthropic foundations from OECD countries reported annually to the OECD Development Co-operation Directorate (Creditor Reporting System &ndash; CRS) (ii) primary data reported directly to the OECD Centre on Philanthropy and (iii) secondary data collected from publicly available sources. All data are compiled using statistical standards and definitions aligned with those applied to ODA.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Data cover both cross-border and domestic philanthropic flows. Domestic philanthropic flows refer to funding provided by organisations located in ODA-eligible countries to recipients within the same ODA-eligible country.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The dataset presents disbursements only and is expressed in constant 2023 US dollars (USD).</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The dataset is currently collected and published every three years; it covers data for years 2020-2023.
