Labour indicators by access to city typology

This dataset provides labour market indicators aggregated at national level and broken down by a territorial typology based on population access to cities.

Data definition and source

The indicators describe labour market conditions at place of residence by type of territory. Data is based on labour force surveys using ILO methodology and is collected from Eurostat (reg_lmk) for EU countries, as well as via delegates of the OECD Working Party on Territorial Indicators (WPTI) and national statistical offices.

Territorial typology

The indicators are aggregated at the national level using the TL3 regional typology, distinguishing metropolitan regions, regions near functional urban areas (FUAs), and remote regions. This typology helps analyse socio-economic differences across types of regions. See the OECD Territorial Correspondence Table (xlsx) and the OECD Territorial grid (pdf).
