PPP detailed results, 2022 onwards: Price level indices

This dataset provides detailed results on Price Level Indices (PLI) broken down by analytical categories, following the OECD PPP classification updated in 2025 to align with COICOP 2018.

PLIs measure cross-country price level differences by showing, for a given expenditure category, how many units of a common currency are required in each country to purchase an equivalent volume. At the GDP level, they reflect differences in countries’ overall price levels. They are computed as the ratio of PPPs to exchange rates.

This dataset contains a subset of the detailed results of the joint Eurostat-OECD Purchasing Power Parities Programme for the 48 participating countries from 2022 onwards. The production of PPPs is a multilateral exercise involving the National Statistical Institutes of the participating countries, Eurostat and the OECD. Indicators with OECD as reference and with the European Union as reference are presented in this dataset.

2022 data is quasi-final, and 2023 and 2024 data is preliminary. The next updates will include:

First estimate of 2025 PPPs for GDP in March 2026,

Update of 2025 PPPs for GDP, and first estimate of the 2025 PPPs for AIC and HFC in June 2026,

Update of all analytical categories, 2022-2025, in December 2026.

Detailed PPP results for 2020 and 2021 are not available using the current OECD PPP classification aligned with COICOP 2018. However, results for these years, disaggregated according to the previous OECD PPP classification based on COICOP 1999, can be made available upon request.
