Operating costs of asset-backed pensions

Operating costs include all costs of administration and investment management involved in the process of transforming pension contributions into retirement benefits. Indicators on operating costs also reflect the extent to which data are available in each jurisdiction for the different types of costs pension providers (such as pension funds, insurance companies, banks or investment funds offering pension arrangements) incur.

This dataset shows the investment expenses and administrative expenses of pension providers expressed as a percentage of total assets. These indicators are available by type of pension plan (occupational or personal, defined benefit (DB) or defined contribution (DC)) and financing vehicle (e.g. pension funds, pesnion insurance contracts, other financing vehicle).
