Minimum wages

<p>Data refer to the monthly national minimum wages, established every half year (1st January and July). Minimum wages may be determined by hourly or weekly rates in certain countries; these are converted into monthly rates. The minimum wage agreement process, its application and enforcement may vary by country. Minimum wages are gross amounts, i.e. before deduction of income tax and social security contributions payable by the employee.</p>
