Victims of trafficking in human beings by sex

<p>This indicator refers to victims of trafficking in human beings as defined under Article 2 of the Directive 2011/36/EU. A registered victim can be a person who has been formally identified as a victim of trafficking in human beings by the relevant formal authority in a Member State or a person who has met the criteria of the EU Directive but has not been formally identified by the relevant formal authority as a trafficking victim or who has declined to be formally or legally identified as trafficked.</p>
