<p>The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) measures price changes of various consumer goods and services over time (inflation).&nbsp;&nbsp;The ‘first published’ dataset stores the original HICP data as released on publication dates (non-revised). It includes the full set of indices, and monthly and annual rates of change for all geographical entities (aggregates and countries), covering both the current and the&nbsp;previous&nbsp;reference years.&nbsp;</p><p>Please note that this dataset is discontinued and replaced by <a href="https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/databrowser/bookmark/fee13e71-7213-42a4-bb71-c5eb2cd784d5?lang=en&amp;createdAt=2026-05-20T13:29:04Z" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(36, 36, 36);">prc_hicp_fpd</a></p>
