<p>The indicator measures the NEET rates of people aged 15-34, comparing those who have abandoned formal education or training with those who have not.</p><p>The numerator consists of people aged 15-34 neither in employment nor in education and training (NEET) and denominator consists of the total population of the same age group.&nbsp;</p><p>Formal education or training abandoned means that a person has started a formal education programme but has not completed it successfully.</p><p>The information is broken down by sex, age and educational attainment level.&nbsp;</p><p>The indicator is based on the EU Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS) 8-yearly variables on "Young people on the labour market" surveyed in 2024.</p>
