Production of eggs for consumption

<p>Eggs for consumption describes the number of chicken eggs for consumption collected on the agricultural holdings in the country. These eggs, still in shell, are produced by laying hens and are intended for human consumption (not intended for incubation) or for the preparation of egg products. The data covers eggs that are received by packing centres from egg producers in the country, as well as those directly delivered or used by agricultural holdings. The data also includes the production of organic eggs.</p>
